Kelsali Wellness: Providing community and sisterhood
Just a short year ago I hit rock bottom, again. I had done so much work on myself and was suddenly back at the bottom. Miserable, suicidal, lonely, and scared of what my future would look like. My best friend had passed away and I felt alone in my grief and alone in life. Then on October 19, 2023, I decided to take a chance and sign up for a women’s circle based in Sacramento, Ca that I had seen advertised on Instagram. I had seen them for a while but never had the courage to sign up. Fortunately, on that day my courage didn’t fail me. I allowed Kelsali Wellness to be the first helping hand to pulling myself out of my hole of despair.
Founders of Kelsali Wellness
The founders of Kelsali are two wonderful women named Kelsey and Chali. When you put their names together, we get Kelsali.
Here is a little more about these amazing women:
Chali makes you feel welcome in their space with a warm smile and comforting hug. Her warmth and kindness stem from her extensive experience as a Social Worker. She is a registered Sound Practitioner, Sacred Sister Facilitator and has her master’s in social work.
Kelsey always remembers everyone’s names. A global traveler who previously resided in Paraguay as a Peace Corps volunteer, and served as the Director for an anti-human trafficking non-profit organization in Kolkata, India. She supports fundraising efforts to support Northern California’s refugee and immigrant communities. She is an Energy Practitioner, Work That Reconnects facilitator, and certified Yoga Teacher. Kelsey also has a Master’s in Community Development.
The Mulberry House
The space that hosts all Kelsali’s events is The Mulberry House, a private residence and suburban retreat space in Sacramento, California. Sound baths and circles are hosted in a dome in the middle of the yard. The flooring is made of the earth instead or concrete. This helps us to feel grounded.
The yard is beautifully landscaped with flowers, trees, and fruits and vegetables growing everywhere. There is a fire pit, a sauna, cold plunge tub, a hammock, a hot tub, and a cowboy pool.
The vibe and energy you feel on the property is magical. You are one with nature and yourself.
Women’s Day Retreats, Women’s Circles and Sound Baths.
Kelsali events range from offerings catered to women, and offerings that are open to all genders. Kelsali strives for diversity and welcomes people from all walks of life.
Goddess Gathering: Connection in Sisterhood: These events are magical and full of feminine connection, reflection, and community. This is a sacred space where women come together to experience true sisterhood, deepen their spiritual connection, and support each other on our journeys.
Sound Bath: I love these sound baths. They are a relaxing and rejuvenating experience. The soothing sounds of nature are a great way to unwind from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The tranquil melodies wash over you as you find your inner peace. They also begin with a beautiful grounding guided meditation.
Equinox Day Women’s Retreats: Each Equinox Kelsali host a Day retreat. These are my favorite. Kelsali opens these with a circle to get comfortable. We do guided activities to help connect with ourselves and strengthen our sisterhood. These activities will align with the theme of the Equinox we are celebrating. Then we will spend time outside connecting and doing unguided activities, such as flower crowns. Kelsali provides a healthy vegan lunch that never disappoints. Finally, we end with a sound bath.
I believe we take for granted the importance of community and sisterhood. Kelsali reminded me or this importance. Now I know without a doubt, I am not alone.
