4 Tips to Help You Discover Self-Love
We all face challenges in anything we try to do. No one said it would be easy to find peace. Especially when you spent so much time suffering. Suffering is like a habit we must break and replace with happy and healthy ones. Here are some tips to sticking to your path of self-love and self-healing.
Prioritize You Time
The world can get crazy, and we can get busy with all that craziness. That’s why it is important to take time every single day for yourself. “You time” doesn’t have to take long, one weekend out of a month is all you need. At the beginning of every moth plan this out for yourself. Be intentional with your plans and do something that will ignite your beautiful soul.
I like to take a weekend and go hiking or go for a mini road trip out of town. You could have a game night with close special friends or treat yourself to dinner and a movie. No matter how you spend your “you weekend” make sure it ultimately brings you true happiness.

Don’t Sweat the Small Stuff
This is hard to do, I know, but if you can master the art of not letting everything bring you down it will really make a difference in your life. When a car cuts you off or when the cashier at your favorite coffee shop is rude to you, let it go and move on. You can’t control others, but you can control yourself and your own reaction to inconvenience. So, when those little hiccups get in your way, take a deep breath and say: it’s okay, I can’t control this and that’s okay.
When I am having a day that just keeps letting me down, I like to take 10 minutes and just sit. I slow everything down and just be still for a little while. This helps me to remember that not everything deserves all my energy. Our energy is special, and we shouldn’t waste it on things that will only drain it and not replenish it.

Allow Yourself to Make Mistakes
As humans we are untimely bound to make a mistake or two. Don’t let those mistakes hold you back, however. Take your mistake and turn it into motivation to continue your journey and overcome your mistakes. Mistakes are only lessons in disguise and what we do with those lessons are what is important, not the mistake itself.
I try not to dwell on the mistakes I make. The longer I dwell on it the more it will affect me. Instead of letting a mistake weigh on me, I do something positive to boost my endorphins. I do a kind act for someone in need, or I complete a project I have been working on. Anything positive that will make you feel accomplished will help you process your mistake in a healthy way.
Manifesting
Manifesting is a very powerful tool that we all need in our self-love toolbox. Put your intentions into the universe and open your soul up and let it in. You will see your intentions come to life!
Journal my manifestations is what I do; it helps me to really bring them to life. I picture them coming true in my mind every day. I also remind myself of these 5 affirmations:
- I deserve to be loved
- I deserve to be respected
- I deserve to have my dreams come true
- I deserve happiness
- I love myself
